Leading into 2021 we saw three years of serious drought conditions break with some of the highest rainfalls recorded in the winter and spring period leading into Vintage. The growing conditions showed cool temperatures, with some periodic rain events leading to the latest harvest in five years, providing extended ripening time to develop concentrated fruit characters, colour and ripe tannin.
This Byrne Farm blend is a bit of homage to my 20 years working in the Hunter Valley as Shiraz / Pinot Noir is a famous local blend there and presents an easy drinking style.
This wine shows loads of red fruits, floral perfume with a powerful long finish.
